Golf is one of the few sports that you can actually become better from watching. Some like to watch from a fixed spot, some like to follow along with their favourite player. To meet these needs, the organizers provide rental devices and with 5G’s low-latency virtue fans can individually select and watch live videos of the action at multiple locations.
Ultra-realistic 12k footage at sailing venue
In case someone still feels the urge to bring binoculars to the sailing venue, instead of sailing boats they might only find pixels. Jokes aside, for fans at the Tokyo 2020 Games the spectators will have the sensation of being directly next to the racers. To achieve this, there is a 50m screen floating on the Enoshima Yacht Harbour water broadcasting 12k resolution video through drone footage using 5G network. A similar footage will be live in Tokyo 2020 Main Press Centre to provide the media with life-like experience.

Samsung has been providing for olympic competitors and – since 2018 paralympic as well – special edition smartphones to stay in touch with their loved ones during the Games.
This year it is not only blue but supports 5G as well.
